A Reading - Rantideb
Why: among the descendants of Vrishni, he is Krishna himself, among the Pandavas, Arjuna, among sages, Vyasa, among poets, Shukra, naming specific historical and mythic figures, including Arjuna himself, directly within the list.
In life: being told directly that you yourself, in your own specific role and effort, are part of this same larger pattern of excellence is a different, more personal claim than an abstract, general principle.
Teaching: consider that you yourself, in whatever role you're actually excelling at right now, are legitimately part of the same pattern this whole chapter has been describing, not merely a spectator admiring it from outside.
