I am Ananta among the Nagas; I am Varuna among water-deities; Aryaman among the Manes; I am Yama among the governors.

A Reading - Rantideb

Why: among serpents of the deep, he is Ananta, among water deities, Varuna, among ancestors, Aryaman, among controllers, Yama, again extending the list into mythic and abstract categories of authority.

In life: authority and control, exercised well, is treated here as its own legitimate category with its own standout example, not something inherently suspect on its own.

Teaching: notice the difference between authority exercised well versus poorly in your own life, and don't assume all authority is automatically suspect just because it involves control, the quality of how it's exercised is what actually matters.
