Academic Network

Academic research is fundamentally collaborative. Unlike software engineering, where the open-source community provides a highly visible ledger of contributions via Git commits and pull requests, academic lineage is often buried in footnotes, bibliographies, and acknowledgments. This page is an attempt to explicitly map out my intellectual network - the mentors, scholars, and communities whose work directly informs and intersects with my research in Digital Humanities, Trauma Studies, and Postcolonial Literature.

My academic journey, primarily rooted at Banaras Hindu University, has been shaped by rigorous supervision and cross-disciplinary dialogue. The mentors listed below have guided me through the complex intersection of traditional literary theory and modern computational analysis. Moving beyond my immediate supervisors, I have cataloged the influential theorists whose frameworks form the bedrock of my critical approach. For instance, Cathy Caruth's work on trauma narrative and Lennard J. Davis's foundational texts on Disability Studies are critical lenses through which I analyze both historic texts and modern digital interfaces.

Furthermore, the digital humanities is a field defined by its active, open communities. Organizations like the Alliance of Digital Humanities Organizations (ADHO) and experimental publications like DH Now are where the theoretical debates of the humanities meet the pragmatic constraints of computer science. By compiling this network into a structured, easily navigable digital format, I aim to provide a transparent view into the intellectual scaffolding that supports my publications, projects, and overarching academic philosophy.
