Welcome to the live analytics dashboard for my portfolio and digital garden. I strongly believe in the philosophy of building in public. By sharing these metrics openly, I hope to provide insight into how my content performs, what resonates with readers, and how the platform grows over time.
The data presented below is collected anonymously and respectfully, prioritizing user privacy while still providing a valuable feedback loop for continuous improvement. It serves not just as a vanity metric, but as an open case study for web analytics, system design, and content strategy.
What this dashboard actually tells me
- First-party tracking: These numbers come from page view logging and engagement events I built myself, not a third-party analytics black box.
- Per-post signal: I track views per post to see which topics, SRE deep-dives, Digital Humanities essays, or the Gita commentary, actually hold attention versus which ones just get a quick click.
- Views aren't the whole story: Raw view counts are a poor proxy for impact. A post with fewer views but a higher comment-to-reader ratio usually means it struck a nerve with the right audience.
- How I use it: I weigh engagement rate alongside volume when deciding what to expand into a series versus what to leave as a one-off.
