Sanskrit to English Translation

Translator:
Of those who punish, I am the scepter; among those who seek victory, I am statesmanship; and among secrets, I am silence; I am knowledge among knowers.

A Reading - Rantideb

Why: among methods of chastisement, he is the rod of punishment, among those seeking victory, he is statesmanship, among secrets, silence, and among the wise, wisdom itself, again including something as stern as punishment within the same unified list, this time tied to justice and restraint rather than mere severity.

In life: appropriate consequences and boundaries, applied wisely, are treated here as their own legitimate form of order and care, not simply the opposite of gentleness.

Teaching: reconsider whether appropriate, well-applied consequences or boundaries in your own life, at work, at home, are actually a form of care and order rather than something to avoid entirely in favor of endless leniency.
